Greetings to all members of the Polish American Pulaski Association, Inc. Summer is soon behind us and our fall season will soon start. Sunday's club will resume on October 4th. All the info is in the bulletin. We have been open on Fridays through the season and attendance has been good. Even with the rainy weather in July our loyal members came out to support the club.
As always, many thanks to all the folks that worked in the kitchen,, door and bar for making everyone's visit enjoyable. Also many thanks to the PCC crew for keeping bingo a large part of our club. Our parking lot was re-sealed thanks to the generosity of member Frank Aleskwiz who wrote the check for this needed project.
As in the past, work in and around the club was done by officers and helpers. Rentals were not a good as in the past and hopefully they will pick up in the fall and early winter. New members continued to join but I am sad to report we lost many long-time members through their passing and some moved back north or just away from our area.
At our last meeting in April discussion followed on meetings. Although membership has stayed steady those attending a meeting has fallen. Starting in October, the Board will meet at 10 AM and the general meeting will follow at 11 AM. NOTE: THE GENERAL MEETINGS WILL BE: OCTOBER, DECEMBER, FEBRUARY and APRIL ONLY. Any member is welcome to attend the Board meeting which will be held every month from October through April. A midsummer meeting also will be held in July or August for the Board.
This was approved by the Board and at the general meeting last April. The day will stay the same, 2nd Wednesday of the month. We welcome back our partners, the German American Club of New Port Richey, the UAW Retired Group of the Suncoast and Polish Legion of American Veterans Post and Auxiliary #184. All info on these groups and meeting is in the bulletin.
I am happy to report that 1st VP Dave has secured 3 brand new shows for the season. We will sponsor 3 shows this season. Also, we welcome back a performer to Sunday's Club, Don Czailkoszewski "The Polish Kid" and his band. Don will play on Sundays. As in the past, Fridays will feature all American style music and Sundays will be half Polka/Waltz and half American.
Although prices for meat and vegetables have gone through the roof we will hold the price for entrance the same for as long as we can. Do your part and bring out your friends on Fridays and Sundays. Once again we will bring in some "Up North" bands and the hope is Molly "B" will also be back. In closing, we the officers of the club, look forward to greeting all and hope together we can work for a good, friendly and profitable 2016-2017 season.
